AFP photographer Massoud Hossaini starts a 10-day tour of the northeastern United States on May 20th, having recently been awarded the Pulitzer prize in the Breaking News Photography category.
From the 65th Cannes Film Festival, AFP will broadcast on Sunday a live video just after the names of the prize-winners have been announced.

The Euro, one of football's major events, has confirmed the Agency's prominence versus the competition in the field of sports news. In order to cover the event, AFP deployed unique editorial resources including 80 staff posted across Poland and Ukraine, as well as perfect synergies with SID, the Agency's German subsidiary specifically dedicated to sports news.
Emmanuel Marcovitch, 38, currently a Public Auditor at France’s Cour des Comptes, is appointed AFP deputy managing director with effect from September 1, 2012.
