Iran-based Behrouz Mehri won two prizes in the photojournalism feature category for his images of street children and heroin addicts in the strife-torn southern Pakistani city of Karachi.

Prune Perromat, AFP journalist in New York, appeared on Beast TV (The Daily Beast's video channel) on Friday May 11th to discuss the French presidential election.

Organized by the Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do Amanhã) in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and AFP, the exhibition is offering a look at the topic of climate refugees and the migrant crisis.
After being released from the Istanbul police headquarters, award-winning photogapher Bulent Kilic said he had filed a "violent arrest" complaint against the police who pinned him to the ground and pushed their legs into his neck and back during the arrest. AFP management protested against the 'violent arrest' of Kilic "while he was only doing his job as a journalist". The Turkish branch of campaign group Reporters Without Borders also condemned his arrest.
